2 Day Injury Management Coordinator Course (Accredited)

Learn best-practice injury management principles from Australia's Leader in Injury Cost Reduction

Aurenda's Injury Management Coordinator Course will provide participants with insight into the many aspects of workers' compensation. Attendees will gain tools to enable those who have workplace injury management responsibilities to manage their injured workers in line with the rights and obligations contained in the Western Australian Workers' Compensation and Injury Management Act 1981 and Regulations.

As the first employer-focused program offered of its kind Aurenda's Injury Management Coordinator Course is designed for anyone who has responsibility for supervising or managing injured workers in the workplace. If you are the designated Injury Management Coordinator, a Safety Advisor, OSH Rep, Return to Work Coordinator, HR/Administration Advisor, involved in Payroll, or a direct Supervisor or Manager, this is an essential program to learn practical skills to proactively manage injured workers and their claims.

Focus: Aurenda's three day course in injury management encompasses a multitude of topics that are relevant to the effective management of workplace injuries.

Cost: $1,100.00 inc. GST Per Person

Duration: 2 days

Partial completion of FNS50115 - Diploma of personal injury management and FNS41915 - Certificate IV in personal injury management

These units are:

FNSPIM401 - Plan and implement rehabilitation and return to work and health strategies

BSBHRM509 - Manage rehabilitation or return to work programs

A fee of $235 (plus GST) will be charged for assessment.

 

5 Day Introductory Occupational Safety & Health Representative Course "SHREP" (Accredited) 

Aurenda runs WorkSafe-accredited introductory and refresher courses for Safety Representatives.

The courses are designed to provide the tools, skills, knowledge and information for participants to enable them to be competent in the role of an Occupational Safety and Health Representative.

All elected Occupational Safety and Health Representatives are required to attend a five day introductory course.

The five day course covers the following:

- Legislation;

- Communication and Representation;

- Hazard Identification/Risk Management;

- Workplace Inspections and Investigations;

- Conflict Resolution and PINs;

 

Cost: $885.00  Per Person (Inc GST)

Duration: 5 Days over 2 weeks

Partial completion of Certificate III in Occupational Health & Safety (BSB 30712)

The WA Health & Safety Representatives Course is closely aligned to 5 Units of Competency within the Certificate III of Occupational Safety & Health. These units are:

BSBWHS302  Apply knowledge of WHS legislation in the workplace
BSBWHS303  Participate in WHS hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control
BSBWHS304  Participate effectively in WHS communication and consultation processes
BSBWHS305  Contribute to WHS issue resolution
BSBWHS406  Assist with responding to incidents
As such, on completion of a workbook and portfolio of evidence within an agreed timeframe, and a successful competency assessment in all five units, a Statement of Attainment will be issued which can contribute towards partial completion of Certificate III in Occupational Health & Safety BSB3 30712. A fee of $235 (plus GST) will be charged for assessment.

Two Day Refresher Course for Occupational Safety and Health Representatives (SHREPr)

Elected Occupational Safety and Health Representatives will have previously attended the Introductory Occupational Safety and Health Representative course. It is recommended that this Two Day Refresher Course be attended every two years.

This course is also suitable as an introductory OSH course for Supervisors, Managers and Safety Committee Members.

The two day course covers the following:

- The role of Occupational Safety and Health Representatives in the workplace
- Improved communication and negotiation skills
- Review of legislative provisions
- The application of applicable Codes of Practice
- OSH management systems
- Improving consultation in the workplace
- Safety action planning

Cost: $500  Per Person (inc. GST)

Duration: 2 Days
