Throughout university Chris was unsure as to which career path he wanted to take. It was at this point Kerry Smith from the University of Western Australia introduced him to the world of OH&S. He fast developed a keen interest in safety and knew this was the job for him.
Chris joined Aurenda as a research practicum student early in 2012. He quickly became a valued member of the team where upon completion of his required hours was offered a casual contract.
In mid-April he left Aurenda to take a 6 month position in England as the overseas professional for a cricket team in Leeds. This was Chris's third English adventure and he assures us it will more than likely be his last. Whilst he loves cricket and still has the desire and ambition to play first class cricket, he has come back with the goal of progressing his career.
Chris loved Aurenda and its people so much from his previous experience that he found it impossible to say 'no' when offered a permanent role. He looks forward to finishing his studies and absorbing much knowledge and expertise from the rest of the Aurenda team.
Chris enjoys an extremely active lifestyle and loves the outdoors. On his days off you will find him running or swimming to keep fit and also pursuing his love for cricket, working hard on his skill set to hopefully one day realise his dream of playing for Western Australia.
